“I thrive in taking opportunities to explore, think and enjoy things I like to do.”
What is the Intelligence Quotient?
The Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is a numerical measure of a child's cognitive abilities, encompassing skills such as problem-solving, reasoning, memory, and language proficiency. It assesses their capacity to learn, understand, and apply knowledge.
For example, a child with a high IQ may excel academically, grasp complex concepts quickly, and excel in tasks requiring logical thinking. Conversely, a child with a lower IQ may struggle with academic performance, find it challenging to learn certain subjects or require more time to comprehend information.
IQ tests provide a snapshot of a child's intellectual capabilities, but it is essential to remember that intelligence is multi-faceted, and other forms of intelligence also play vital roles in a child's overall development.
