FQ (Financial)
“Understanding how to manage money helps me build a better future for myself.”
What is the Financial Quotient?
Financial Quotient (FQ) for kids involves their understanding and management of money and financial concepts.
A child with a high FQ demonstrates an ability to budget, save, and make informed financial decisions. For instance, they might wisely allocate their allowance, grasp the value of savings, and exhibit a responsible approach to spending. On the other hand, a child with a lower FQ might impulsively spend all their money, lack awareness of basic financial principles, or have difficulty differentiating between needs and wants.
Developing a strong FQ equips children with the skills to make sound financial choices and sets a solid foundation for their future financial well-being.
